A former corporate responsibility manager with Nike, Alicia Procello Maddox has served as president of the Avery Dennison Foundation since 2009. In this capacity, Alicia Procello Maddox oversees all aspects of corporate responsibility for the multi-billion dollar packaging and labeling company.

Avery Dennison is aware of the fact that a traditional eight-to-five, 40-hour work week isn't ideal for everyone in an ever-changing society and workforce, nor is it always beneficial for global businesses. Because of that, the company launched its Flexible Work Arrangements program, which enables full-time employees to come up with a suitable working schedule with approval from their managers.

Options include a compressed work week, in which employees work standard full-time hours over four days instead of five, and a flex-time option that allows them to work alternative hours outside a normal eight-to-five schedule. Alternatively, employees can choose to work from home or other remote locations or work fewer than 40 hours per week, with a trade-off in annual salary and benefits. Finally, Avery Dennison offers a job sharing program that allows two employees to split duties on a single role.
