Alicia Procello Maddox
Avery Dennison Foundation President
After earning a bachelor of arts in anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, Alicia Procello Maddox matriculated at the University of Michigan to pursue graduate studies in public health. While working toward her master of public health, she served as a community-based public health liaison. Alicia Procello Maddox went on to serve the California Wellness Foundation in a professional capacity as both a program director and portfolio manager and authored two published articles - an evaluation of the California Wellness Foundation’s grant-making process, and an overview/analysis of the California Wellness Foundation’s Health Improvement Initiative.
Leaving the California Wellness Foundation in 2003, she accepted a community affairs position with Nike. For the next five years, she created and oversaw a number of Nike corporate responsibility initiatives at the regional and national levels.
Since 2009, Ms. Procello Maddox has served as president of the Avery Dennison Foundation. The corporate social responsibility platform of the international packaging conglomerate Avery Dennison, the foundation invests in a range of public initiatives through global grant-making operations.
